The EU Green Taxonomy is part of the Sustainable Finance Action Plan published in 2018 and is aimed at channeling capital to responsible businesses in the framework of a sustainable and inclusive economic development.<\/span><\/h3>
<\/div>

The EU Green Taxonomy identifies 6 environmental and climate objectives:<\/span><\/h3>[\/vc_column][vc_column mobile_width=”hide”]

  • Climate change mitigation<\/li>\n
  • Adaptation to climate change<\/li>\n
  • Sustainable use and protection of water and marine resources<\/li>\n
  • Transition towards a circular economy, also with reference to waste reduction and recycling<\/li>\n
  • Prevention and control of pollution<\/li>\n
  • Protection of biodiversity and of the health of eco-systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    On the basis of these targets, the EU Green Taxonomy establishes that to be “eco-friendly” a business must:<\/span><\/h3>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

    • Contribute positively to at least one of the above listed targets<\/li>\n
    • Avoid to negatively impact any others<\/li>\n
    • Be run in compliance with minimum social guarantees (for example, those set by OECD guidelines and United Nations documents)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
